Training

FUNDAMENTAL AND ADVANCED

WE BELIEVE IN HELPING YOU BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR AND REALIZE YOUR DREAM OF SIX FIGURE INCOME…THE RIGHT WAY

The permanent makeup industry is a vast and beautiful one making stars out of talented artists, creating careers for thousands, yielding intrinsic rewards for being able to help restore confidence and smiles, and most importantly, delivering a generous paycheck if one becomes successful.

But success is not guaranteed, neither is talent, star status nor rewards.  Not everyone is cut out for this business, but sadly many cookie cutter training programs have unwitting new industry entrants believing otherwise.  Moreover, due to façade of glamour and the allure of a lucrative, be-your-own-boss opportunity, people are leaving career jobs and entering the field unprepared.

If you are considering permanent makeup it is critical to do your research.  If you ask 10 artists about their beginnings, probably 8 will tell you how anxious and ill-equipped they felt when they started out.  All of them will also tell you they spent thousands of dollars more on training to bring their confidence and skill up to snuff.

In the end, the fundamentals training they believed would prepare them, was far less than fundamentals and the overall training preparation cost added needless thousands of dollars more because the basics was just that…. basic.

This work is so much more than microblading and tattooing.  In fact, if it were just about that alone, it really would be easy.  Microblading is not difficult.  Nor is tattooing.  Factor in that you are working on human faces, faces with skin conditions, faces that are young, faces that are old, damaged faces, faces of all colors, faces that are nervous, faces that do not believe you know what you are doing, faces that demand what is not responsible, faces that have a lot of influential friends, faces that idealize Instagram eyebrows, faces that can make or break your first year.

And still, that is only the tip of the iceberg.

Most trainers are not trained to train.  To that end, understanding the teaching and learning continuum can be completely absent in some programs.  Learning to do this work involves a carefully planned didactic program that is cyclical.  When designed and delivered in this way, the student receives an education that is suited to their learning needs, preferences and styles.

So, the trainer must know their craft inside, outside, front-ward and backward, while also intuitively understand the science of learning, so that you, the student, actually do that—-LEARN.  This means you are not just shown and told, you are shown, told, guided, re-directed and coached, all while dialogue between instructor and student is ongoing.

My job is not done until you know you are ready.  That is a tall order for me but one which I have delivered on many times, all the while knowing the industry that I love and make my living in, is protected with my doing my part delivering to it gifted, confident novices who I know will become leaders and trainers in their own right before long.

When people say you need to do it right the first time, they are not just trying to sell you.  In this industry it is critically imperative.  Do it right the first time at Anna Burns Permanent Cosmetics Institute and you are fully covered, with follow up support.

Entering this work with confidence and zeal, means that you will love it.  You will not be up nights worrying about whether your treatment went well. You will not suffer anxiety from unhappy clients because you will know how to deal with them.  You will calmly approach every single client with a plan unique to them, with grace and confidence.  That is what makes a successful artist.

Do you have what it takes?

The cost for each permanent makeup procedure ranges between $300 to $800.  At the minimum income projection, if you make $300 a day, 5 days a week.  This adds up to $1,500 a week.  $6,000 a month. $72,000 a year.  At the maximum income projection, if you make $800 a day, 5 days a week.  This sums up to $4,000 a week. $16,000 a month. $192,000 a year.  If you have what it takes: dedication to your craft, hard work, and an unbreakable entrepreneurial spirit, then earning a six figure income is certainly a reachable goal.
