Using minuscule multi-pronged needles operated by a machine, the tiny needles pierce through the epidermis layer of the skin tissue. As the needles enter the skin, the pierced skin tissue interprets these needle pricks as wounds and begin the healing process, producing collagen and gradually reducing the appearance of acne and chicken pox scars, and wrinkles. The machine method is great for wrinkles around your nose and mouth, as well as frown lines.
Also called collagen induction therapy, microneedling the skin on the face and body is great for plumping the skin tissue and restoring a youthful look while also helping to break down scarring.
What to expect after your Micro-needling Procedure
Depending on how deeply the needle enters the epidermis, you may be slightly to moderately swollen and red at the treated areas. Minor itching may occur and the ‘needled’ tissue may exhibit the appearance of ‘cat scratches’ which will lighten and disappear in 5 days for most clients. Bring a sun hat to assure maximum protection on the way home. You will need to treat this skin with the utmost of care to give yourself the best results. We recommend using SPF 45 or higher sunblock to protect your skin from harmful UV rays of the sun.
